Our
mission is to present history and life from a personal point of
view. History has always been written by the segment of society
that emerges victorious (or in control of the media.)
This
is an attempt to show the point of view from we, the people of this
planet. How do you think the account of the conquest of the 'new
world' would have sounded from the point of view of a native of
this continent that Europeans named America?
What
would the state of North Korea sound like if it came from the average
person on the streets who didn't have to fear retribution for candid
words?
What
stories might we hear from Tianenmen Square survivors?
We
will post videos contributed from individuals through public sites
like YouTube or from people who send their Mini-DV or DVDs to us.
(See contact page for more information.)
Maybe
that sounds a bit grandiose, but that is the vision that is held
for this website. It will be a challenge to get diverse points of
view and present them as candidly as they are
recorded -- but that is the goal.
It
can only happen with the help and cooperation of the public.
